false Louis Walsh sex claims

From the start the whole think did smell a bit like opportunism of someone out of a quick buck..

But a local priest had a accusation made against him by a woman who claimed she was abused some 20 years ago. She made accusation to HSE in counselling who contacted Gardai, Bishop suspended the Priest and he is not working. He does not even know the identity of the person making the accusation. The priest is from the area and was never moved fro parish to parish and has been a priest for 45 odd years. The woman who made the accusation later contact the HSE to say that it was not meant to be malicious.. but the priest does not know what this means as HSE won't reveal her identity and priest has to work via a solicitor.

Anyway, I am not here to defend the priest of Louis,,... But in the case of Louis it seems that justice moved very fast in investigating the case while the priest I know has had the cloud of accusation over him for the last 18 months.

My point, shouldn't all these accusations be treated and investigated in the proper way.. seems like there is one rule from celebrities that have the media spotlight on them while there is another rule for others.

The reason why the matter was cleared up so quick was that there was video evidence inside and outside the club that supposedly confirmed Louis version of events.
The footage helped speed up a decision as to who was telling the truth and/or the validity of the claim.
    End of story.

Quiet right.. Problem is that without knowing the persons name or dates of abuse the priest can't present evident to contrary. Most priest have parish registers to trace back what they were doing on certain dates. There also seems a reluctance of the justice system to investigate the accusation (obviously given the history of Church abuse and coverup)

however each case should be treated on its own merit with due diligence and this is obviously not the case in Ireland.

Well why wasn't this case fully investigated or is it an ongoing investigation? I can't imagine why she would make up a story such as this.

According to a report in the Mirror (Page one and seven) this is being looked at.
The person is facing a possible jail term of up to 5 years. Not likely to get that but will be held accountable for their attempts it seems, according to the police prococuting bodies involved.
Louis, the paper reported (if you can trust any paper) stated that he was not going to let the matter rest either.
He too is seeking re-dress, probably though the courts.

    Money.

Bishop when he told the parish about the accusation said there were never 1 single accusation made about the priest in 45 years of parish Priest. Of course only the priest and the accuser know the real truth.. but the investigation has been dragged out 18 months.

Woah, hold on there... that guy was a legend... in his own way. :o

This guy was some sort of scumbag waster, malicious, a wanker.

I have no idea why you'd compare the two.
