laptop cant access channels higher than 11

I have a hp proook 4510s that cant seem to even find my wifi g network that is broadcasting on channel 12. Any ideas why or if i can fix it? i dont have this problem with 3 other laptops, xbox or android phone. /edit fixed it. went to device manager -> network adapter -> properties ->advanced settings and changed…

fixed it. went to device manager -> network adapter -> properties ->advanced settings and changed "Location" from Antigua to Ireland

North America and Territories dont have channels beyond 11
