So I have a problem with my Drive. I seem to stop half to two thirds way round. I hit an average distance but straight. Went to a pro in Killarney who was cocky so skipped him after that, is there any of you who had the problem and recified it?

On practice swing I do full swing right through. Unfortunetly when I hit the ball I dont seem to follow through

I'm only a newbie to golf but that would suggest it's pure mental so.
Bit of fear creeping in with the ball on the tee.

But as I was half joking earlier, you're hitting it an average distance and straight...I'd take that, I might try this 1/2 swing thing :)

I have 3/4 back swing and keep in play a fair bit off my drives. I naturally just stop 3/4 on my back swing, same with irons also. Feel i would probably lose control going all the way back if i tried but my follow through is something i should concentrate on.
I'd prefer to be in play than wayward which happens anyway like any golfer but for the most part be in a position to give meself a chance and if that means being 10 yards behind other lads then so be it.
Work on the short game and approach if ya have the advantage of hitting average and straight drives.

Very same here, feel like you have more control over the swing then, seems to work fine for me so far

Same for me. 3/4 backswing on all my clubs and I've no problem with it. Feels comfortable, keeps me in play and I'm down 3.2 shots for my two singles played this year.
