Hi, I suppose this is the place to ask. Is it ok to put an adult sized mountain bike in the luggage compartments of a bus (Bus Eireann)? Once I take the wheels off and strap them down onto the bike frame it'll take up little space. Need to travel to Cork from Waterford with my bike and the bus is the only option. Thanks.

You may have to buy a bike ticket. I think 12euro. I've put on the bike discreetly before and said nothing to the driver. Other times the driver just lets you off.

It will depend on the driver if you have to pay extra for it but there should be no problem bringing it on the bus.

    still can.

Dublin Cork and Dublin Belfast still have them in the DVTs

other than that though it's plastic fantastic railcars with little (22k) or no (29k etc) space for them.
