    Not sure if anyone heard the interview on RTE Radio 1 this morning on the John Murray show with Dan Murphy father of Lt Michael Murphy. It was the sixth anniversary of his death (and Operation Red Wings) and it was an excellent piece. His Dad gave some great insights into the man and gave a good amount of info about the Operation as well.

    The book SEAL of Honour is well worth reading.

    I think I mentioned here before that Lt Murphy's mother christened a boat after here son.

    They are of Irish heritage too, as I read the story in an Irish paper.

    His death is covered in the book Lone Survivor too.

    Heard the interview yesterday, very good.

    Very brave family, it was touching when the fathers voice broken when he related the story of the text at the funeral.

    Brave people.

    The 62nd Arleigh Burke class ship. Slightly bigger than a boat.

    Even though in USN parlance a boat refers to a submarine

    Good interview. I know the interviewer is a civilian and not supposed to be completely on the ball with military terminology but surely he should know the difference between a solider and a sailor and that it is a bone of contention. The father holds back a good few times but eventually corrects him.
    Just heard him talk about executing OBL, why the funk have we a left wing liberal interviewing a combat veteran who's son won a MoH. Clown of a radio station.
