Anyone been? Met with a woman who wasn't the manager but an assistant mg who seemed a bit disinterested and to be honest a tad rough around the edges...in a way kinda put me off, but the place looks like good value...has anyone been there for a wedding? be really intersted in hearing bout it as a venue and the quality of food etc?? thanks everyone for your tips!!

my sister had her wedding there back in the summer of 2007. Everything was brilliant on the day and my sister was delighted with the service and the way they were looked after. The food was to a high standard and the venue itself was exceptional. Whether the standard has deteriorated since they went into receivership I do not know.

I'd have a look at the Killeshin. I'm recording a wedding soon and the food is always excellent . I'm from laois so I know the hotels well. Also have a look at the tullamore court.Well worth a look. You are welcome to email me if you want some more info. My site link is below or send an IM.
