fed up of interviews: same old thing

hi , I've been out of college a month. Good degree.

Now. Here we go. I've been to 17 interviews in this past month. And was offered one job that I couldn't take because it required a car so they said they had to go with the next candidate if I couldn't arrange my own transport.

My friends from college all had contacts to hook them up with jobs. I asked joking if they'd give me a good word to their bosses but it appears nobody is willing to risk their position.

I find myself in interviews saying the same thing. Then confused as to whether I said the same thing minutes before or days before in a previous interview..

I'm looking to do part-time courses now , masters or professional diplomas for example. These would be evening classes from september. I am looking to keep my learning going, a degree and a lot of experience is not enough it might seem..

I'm so very tired of all this.. Does anyone have any advice for how to survive in this market? I have read 2 books on how to get through interviews and answer their questions effectively but don't know what I'm doing wrong..

What kind of a job are you trying to get into? Saying the same thing over and over is not gonna help you - you need to change your tactic. This is prob more suitable in Work/Jobs though.

seek feedback. If you have been to 16 interviews and did not get the job then ask them if you could have some feedback for your personal development? Listen to what they say and use that feedback for your next interview.

Self employment. Got a truck? Start hauling **** for people. If you aren't suited to the rat race, avoid it.

You need to go on a 'role playing' interview where people will give you frank and honest feedback about your performance. There could be something that's turning off potential employers about you that they can't say to you.

Your CV sounds like it's fine if you've gotten 17 interviews and your literacy skills seem also seem good.

Im sorry but i cannot believe you have got 17 interviews in a month. Its hard enough to get 2 interviews a month in a specific sector. If your serious about 17 interviews your CV must be amazing and you must be doing something very wrong if your not getting offered jobs. I dont drive myself and this has been a problem for me also with jobs in the financial sector as some jobs need you to travel.
