    Hi All,

A new BMX race track is opening soon in Rathoath, the track is being built by Rathoath BMX club, and lot of planning and hardwork has gone into getting this off the ground over the last year. The track is due to open in the next few weeks.
Anyone wanting to race or ride the track needs to be a Club member.
For more info about joining take a look at the Club website http://www.ratoathbmx.com/

I was at the track last night, it and looks like it going to be one hell of a track, as good as any of the tracks being used in the UK at the moment, the guys at the Club have done their research well, racing at the various tracks in the UK over the last 6 months.

It will be great to see BMX racing back in Ireland after a long absence ! And getting the next generation of young bikers into racing !!!

    Biker Joe.

It'd be class if they did workshops/camps like in America/UK and the rest of Europe do! I know people in Germany who go do these insane bmx camps (girls/guys or mixed ones). I'd kill to ride (same as some of my other female friends) but there aren't any girl riders in Ireland and going down to skatepark on your own is a quite intimidating so I hope rathoath start something up like that!
