50" LED TV - Recommendations?!

Yes, yes... another dull "please help me decide on my next TV" thread!
I've an old 42" Sony grand Vega (rear projection!) and need to move up a division - a 10 year plan hopefully!
I'd ideally like a 50" - LED backlit - Full HD - Not in the slightest bit interested in 3D! No problem if its bundles, I'm just not looking for 3D! Just a very crisp screen, good motion flow etc!
I've a possible €1300 budget - living in Dublin - any ideas would be very much appreciated!

EDIT: I saw a nice Sony in Power City this morning but there seems to be a BIG drop in Peats price for the different spec 713 (peats) / 723 (power city) - Any ideas what the difference is?
