I want to sell some (alot :P) of my old stuff. Im not doing hand me downs anymore because the next in line wont wear the stuff I wear now and there expensive enough stuff, only about a year old! Like lots of Topman etc (which I HAD to take the tags off, so sore on the neck!)

Whats the best way? eBay? If anyone does or has done it please help me Im not sure of the best way to do it!

I would say eBay or adverts.ie, thing with adverts is, you can't bid on items like you can on eBay, so you need to start items at a low price in order to generate any interest in them, with eBay, you can have a low starting bid and then hopefully the bids will go up and up.

It depends on the items you are selling and whether or not buyers can get the same or similar items for cheaper prices.

Personally, I ALWAYS start the bids low, cause then you have more of a chance of actually getting bids.

Postage is another thing - are you sending via registered or standard post? I personally only ever send via registered post, wouldn't even consider sending standard post (because I got scammed before, buyer claiming item hadn't arrived, when it did arrive!), which is pretty expensive, a small letter is around €6 to send out, which is expensive and not many people are willing to pay such a high price unless they really want that item.

Also, with eBay, I'd advise waiting until they have free listings, otherwise you will have a lot of fee's to pay. I usually go with the basic listing as I can't understand having to pay extra just for a nice background/border etc, it doesn't make sense to me.

With all that said, I don't sell to make a profit, I usually just sell when I am having a clear out, so feel free to ignore me lol.

Another option would be the likes of Fairyhouse market/car boot sale.

Even if you only do it once it's a lot less hassle than listings, replying to emails, postage etc.
Be prepared to give your stuff away cheaply, but if you have a big volume of stuff you could make a bit of cash.

You could even advertise the pieces on your facebook page if you were desperate for a quick sell? Take nice photos of it, includes lots of information and allow the comments to be a type of bidding war between friends.

I have sold a fair bit of my stuff on other discussion boards, like the B&S forum on magicmum. Have had very limited success on adverts (better for kids clothes though)
As you can see from my siggy I still have a ton of stuff left. I'm thinking of taking the higher end stuff to the concession store on Crowe St.

Personally I use eBay, I found adverts.ie too much of a hassle and a dead end. I list my items in pounds sterling as I attracted more bidders that way.
