I'm currently on Grade 8 RIAM Piano but I'm confused as to what is after grade 8. I've heard people speak about doing their "diploma" but is that their Senior Certificate Grade or Bronze/Silver/Gold medal? Where could I do my diploma, would it be offered in a usual music school, and also if I passed my diploma, does that mean I can give piano lessons? There are so many terms that I've gotten quite confused... Thank you.

after certificate you could do the senior certficate, I also did a performance diploma before I sat the teachers dip. if you check out the riam website you can view the different diplomas available. The teachers diploma is a huge undertaking and performance dip. will help you prepare. www.riam.ie
