Im currently looking at both these tyres at the minute, does anyone have any experience with either or both, looking for something for road use and the odd track day, any ideas what the side walls are like on both?

    Hankook RS-2

I've had the RS2's. Good all round tyre in all conditions IMO. Decent wear and little road noise. Had them on a Subaru Legacy.

EDIT the sidewall on them is decent. Stronger than T1r anyway.

    Thanks for the reply

Ive lost so much feeling from the car going from the Toyo R888s to T1-Rs, and this is down to the side-wall mostly, so i want stiffer :D

Have you used the RS-2s on track what are they like when they are pushed? In everyday conditions how do the deal with rain or more so standing water

No experience of them on a track. In everyday conditions they are grand, no aqua plaining, they will shift water fairly quick. They are a great gripping tyre whether they are hot or cold unlike the t1r which you probably know can be a bit dodgy at times.

I ran the Advans on a trackday and loved them, the car handled really well. No experience of the Hankooks myself though

Not good, very similar to how 888's behave on wet roads, hitting a white line on the motorway will pucker up your bumhole
