LGBT holiday?

    Hi everyone!

So, after my first year being in college and coming out to family/friends, I've met some amazing people and we want to go on a holiday - particularly a LGBT area in a nice sunny place.

Does anyone have suggestions of where to go? We're all about 20/21 years of age and would like to do some sight seeing in the day, and then experience an active LGBT nightlife.

    Thanks in advance!

Putting labels on areas only causes an even bigger division amongst us and the hetero's .
But I agree San Fran is supposed to be amazing !

Sitges just south of barcelona, or Ibiza town itself, not the other resorts in ibiza. take out a mortgage for ibiza though.

Tel Aviv in Israel has a huge 'scene' if you want to call it that. Also Stockholm and Oslo, but you want a sun holiday.

Also the Greek island Mykonos is supposed to be incredible, and very very gay-friendly. I'm definitely going to go there some summer!

Not sure about the LGBT scene, but Stockholm is a must see city. I was only there for 72 hours and spent a lot of it hungover, bt I definitely want to go back. Not cheap though...and don't fly Ryanair. Skavsta isn't remotely near Stockholm.

Forgot to mention, the hot Swedish blondes are generally men, not women :D

I love Brighton and it's so, so easy to get too. Best selection of veggie restaurants I've ever seen. (Because sadly enough that's a huge selling point for me. :o)

Ì went ot sitges which is the only place i've ever been to so gay.

Great small place to hang out during the day and see the place (it is beautiful) and at night time the place turns gayer and everyone seems gay, lots of clubs and people and a gay nudest beach sold me even though i didnt go to it in the end because the other one was closer

My cool aunt keeps going on about how much I'd love Sitges. It's slightly awkward, but adorable at the same time.

In other news, Nice is pretty gay-tastic. It gets a bit Faggotry International in the summer, and it is noticeably male-oriented after the unfortunate closing down of the lesbian café-bar. Now it's some hipstery-ish place with barrels out front as tables.

Toronto is pretty LGBT friendly too. They have two areas, Church Street which is rainbow-tastic (seriously, it's like it vomited them all over it), or if you prefer something a little lower key, Queen Street.

Had some great nights there in the Gladstone and in in a bar called the Beaver where I reenacted scenes from Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. Some of the baby-gays thought that was our serious dancing. :o

Maspalomas in the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria) has a gay and nudist beach and then all the night life is in the Yumbo centre (a shopping centre that turns into about a dozen gay bars by night). Some great beaches (lots of cruising/action in the sand dunes!) and a trip to Las Palmas city is highly recommended. A week would be enough there though. I've been twice and loved it!

Only if the prom scene is our first dance. We shall have to get somebody to be our Sandy Frick though....mmm.

I think San Francisco is the obvious choice, i've never been there but i'm sure it's a great city, it's sunny and i'd imagine it has a good night life

    Yep Canada is fantastic.
LGBT friendly, Pride in Toronto is great and a lovely city to visit.
I notice a couple of posts referring to some Gay friendly holiday areas being mainly for men so I thought I would post up a link to a couple of womens resorts.
