Unfortunately sounds bad, if it was an insurance claim, they will blacklist the IMEI number.

Will not connect to any networks in the Republic. Nothing you can do except sell it to someone outside republic, will even work in NI.

It is the dodgy thing about buying phones 2nd hand.

What happens when you connect it to iTunes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 706 ✭✭✭SATSUMA

Usually you connect it, and iTunes will show you what to do next when it detects the new phone. Just follow the instructions on screen.

    did itunes recognise it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 706 ✭✭✭SATSUMA

nope i have no idea what im doing. Nothing is happening. It blings when i connect and then alittle window titled autoplay pops up-the options are import pictures, import videos, open device to view files.....

Cancel that. What happens in iTunes itself? You may need to give it a minute to detect the phone.

Turn off the phone and while connecting it to the pc press and hold the home button, it's the button at the bottom of the screen

A message should pop up in iTunes saying it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and ya have to restore

Also make sure you have latest version of iTunes

the networks bar the imei from joining the network, it doesnt matter if its unlocked or not
