Question about cable UPC Digital connection

    Hi There, for the last few months, our UPC digital TV connection has been steadily getting worse. Now when we take the UPC box out of standby it takes about an hour before start getting a picture. We get no signal for about 45 minutes, and then we start seeing a pixelated screen which over the course of 15 minutes clears itself up, until normal service is resumed. The longer we leave the box in standby, the longer it takes before a normal picture is available. Powering off the box just means that we have to go through the entire one hour cycle again.

    I know this is really a problem for UPC to resolve, but before I call them, I wanted to know if anyone has experienced a similar issue with their UPC digital TV service, and whether it relates to the Digital box, or the incoming connection into the house? Many thanks.

    Just in case anyone suffers the same problem, it was a dodgy box (three years old) which was duly replaced by UPC after a brief call-out.
