Road Drainage - Impermable %

    For Road Drainage Design, has anyone seen if there is any guidance in the DMRB as to PIMP values for roads, verges, embankment slopes etc

    Does anyone use less than a 100% for road pavement?

    you can use less than 100% to take into account evaporation etc.

    the software you use can give you guidance on this

    Unless this is a 3am panic calculation on drainage that has already been installed..(every engineer knows what im talking about!!) i would take 100%.

    I've seen 90% used for roads for a D&B scheme i was briefly invloved with, but dont know the reason behind it, what standard gives typical values?

    for verges i have seen %s in the range of 50 - 70% which can make a difference overall

    any ideas on design standards ?
