    Hi Guys,

I bought a new GHD Hair Straighnter in December of 2010 after my other one packet up after a lenghtly battle. I bought it from my own hair dresser who stocks all the GHD Products.

Iv had no problems at all with it up untill two days ago..
    1. The Led light keeps going on and off.
    2. The Irons are over heating.
    3. The thick black cord/lead just off the hair straighnter is making really weird noises - its like whe wires inside it are burning or melting.
Im afraid to use it at this stage incase it blows up.

But here's my dilemma: I bought it, kept everything belong to it(being the genious that i am- which is a first), but i moved house in March and got a big skip and threw every last bit of junk into it!! (and off goes all the GHD Stuff along with it)Im sooo Clever:mad:.

Anyone any idea what i can do with it? I have no proof of purchase, no receipt, no nothing!! Can i send it back to GHD or what?

If anyone has similar stories or have went through GHD returns can you please help??!!!

There not the cheapest tool but its a necessidy to any girl :)

    Thanks all

did you register your GHD online? i think this can be used as proof of purchase and for replacements/repairs.

I would ring GHD but generally they can work out when the GHD was purchased and whether it's in warranty or not based on the codes on the inside.

I just sent mine back as it kept turning on and off and making a scratchy buzzing noise at the cord/GHD join. It came back on Friday, they replaced it with a new one. Very happy!
