How do I utilise an existing UPC set up for digital satellite FTA?

I have moved into a new apartment, which has a UPC connection on the wall. It has two outputs: TV and FM. I rang UPC and the apartment has had digital satellite connection in the past. Therefore I am persuming there is a satelite dish on the roof to which, my apartment is linked.

I have my new Irish DTT compatable TV connected to the 'TV' output, which gives me the Irish DTT channels. I want to get the FTA satellite channels also. I have yet to buy a FTA box. Before I do buy one I want to know if it will be possible for me to utilise this connection to recieve the satellite channels?

Is it simply a matter of splitting the TV output, one going to the TV and one going to the FTA satellite box?

    Your knowledge would be appreciated

EDIT: I have found the answers to my questions here:
