    Hello all,

To launch my new photography blog, I've put together a collection of 25 tips that I have found have helped me to improve my photography.

Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think.

Let me know if there is anything you disagree with too ;).

Some of the tips are common sense, others are based on my own experiences. They might be of some use to some of the "novice" photographers out there who are starting out.

    Here is the link:

    Enjoy.

Thanks for that Barry. Your sample images in the tutorial are stunning!

    10. Shoot in RAW format

I would mention the fact that you don't necessarily have to choose one
file format over the other. Many cameras can shoot RAW+JPEG. I would
also mention the speed penalty when shooting RAW in burst mode.

    13. Learn the basics of Photoshop

Learn the basics of image editing/processing. Not everyone has Photoshop.

    22. Join Flickr.

Don't be afraid to post your photos in public forums like boards.ie
or pix.ie. Don't be offended by comment & criticism of your photo.
It is always useful to listen to other peoples opinions, even if you
    don't agree with them.

IMHO, flickr is not a great forum for C&C. You tend to get a huge
amount of praise, regardless of the quality of your photos
Wow! Great capture! etc.... may be good for the ego, but not
particularly useful for someone learning about photography.

Great stuff , but I'm only seeing 18 tips and I think I'm only seeing some of the 18th

But as I said the ones I can see are well explained, there is a lot of useful information there for folk starting off.

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone. I'm not sure why the end of the post is missing. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch

    Edit: Fixed it now.
