Hi any one know where I can get a windows 7 home product key I'm installing it as a VM . A friend of mine recently bought a mac, and sold his old pc which i install win 7 ages ago for him. He gave me the install disk, but he throw away the box and ever thing including product key (though it was rubbish)

Actually if your just installing it as a virtual machine, you don't need the product key. It will let you install without it, you will however have to keep rewiping it and reinstalling it every 30 days.
If you are doing it as practice for lab work, should be fine.
