    Hi,

Booked my mum and dad a flight from belfast to blackpool on thursday 30th june with jet2.com
Just printed the boarding passes for them and it is showing my mum as -

    Mr Linda W******

Will this be a problem when she goes to board the plane?
They are going to a wedding on friday and need to make that flight.
    Thanks.

Wouldn't that be classed as discrimination if the OPs mum was a transgendered person for example and choose to live as a male one day and female another. As it's not Learyair hopefully they should be ok!

Should be ok, it's a messup and can be corrected
And I would think Ryanair would clear it up too, they're not completely ruthless despite what you hear. I've had issues cleared up twice at the Ryanair desk and boarding cards issued with no charge by the friendly staff.
OP, call them tomorrow, don't leave it until they get to the airport.

As for discrimination I've no idea. If it's not been in court already it'll be a test case someday for some youngbuck lawyer looking to make their name.
Would probably have to take the case to Europe

Stinicker, if you don't mind I'm going to ask this over in legal forum. Good debate over there

    Hi lads,

Everything ok.........called jet2 and was told they only check the first and surname and not the gender.
Thought something wasn't right as i checked the names/gender etc about 20 times with the mother before confirming the booking.
    Thanks again everyone.
