    By Public Transport..

    Had a look at Bus Eireann & City Link, both minimun three & half hours, anyone know a quicker way?

    city link is your best bet

    takes a car an hour sometimes less to get to limerick the train takes 2

    train from limerick to cork is the same get the bus pal

    safe journey


    any flights from galway to cork airport??? worth a look maybe ya never know

    Direct flights stopped a long time ago, thanks for the info, how long does it take to drive?

    It takes about 3 hours to drive taking into account average traffic etc so 3.5 on bus is fair enough. Tralee and Cork are the same distance from Limerick and both trips have taken me about 2.5-3.5 hours to drive depending on traffic, whereas bus (with changeover in Limerick - Bus Eireann) used to take 3.5 to 5 hours.

    If you're going Bus Eireann, get the X51 from Galway to Limerick and change there. The X51 stops at GMIT, and then non-stop down the motorway to Limerick - takes 1:20. As already pointed out, there's also Citylink.
    how long does it take to drive?

    I once made it from the last set of traffic lights in Cork city to Oranmore in 2 hours! The Limerick tunnel is a great job. Twenty minutes from Oranmore to Gort, then motorway/good road to Croom. Croom->Mallow is the only sh1tty part of the route, Mallow->Cork is grand.
