Dublin City Council have converted a floor in Drury St carpark into a bike parking area - see here. It's indoors and is supposed to have supervised cctv so it should be safe enough.

Thats class, didnt know it was there.

Any body have any good/bad experiences with it, or hear of any problems?

Do a quick search of the forum and you'll find plenty of discussion about Drury st bike park. If I'm locking the bike longer than 10mins in the area I'd put it in there.
There's a similar multi-storey car park on Jervis street with a security guard on the entrance and a bike area on the ground floor (although cars tend to block the bike area - had to lift the bike over them a few times) which seems even safer.
Don't skimp on the locks OP, 2 locks, combined value €100-€150 is recommended depending on the value of your bike.

Bit of a hijack.... What's a good second lock to get? Thinking a Kryptonite Evo but looking for the 2nd which I presume should be a cable one (a metre or two long)

I'm no expert, but imo it depends on the value of the bike you're locking, where you're locking it, how long you're locking it for etc.

Do some research on correct locking techniques too.

Cable locks are pretty useless by all accounts, they can be cut with a small bolt cutters.

If you have an €800 bike I'd go with a top tier U lock (€100) for the back wheel and frame and a cheaper secondary shackle (maybe €50) for front wheel and frame, if locking in the city centre.

As mentioned before on the forum, it may be more cost effective to get a very cheap commuter, and cheaper locks, and keep the expensive bike for weekends.
