Sat cable grade question

I am going to run some cabes through the attic, and I have a 20m lenght of Triax TX100 (which is not enough for two runs) and about 50m of a coxial cable with a grade reference RG59.

The Triax TX100 is a slightly thicker cable and I have used this for one satellite connection already. My question is, how good is the RG59 cable for satellite or terrestrial cabling? Has anyone installed or have had any experience with RG59 coax?

RG59 isnt very good quality cable to be honest.
Its very thin and its what Chorus used on MMDS installs.
Its akward to get correct fitting f connectors for it.
It should be fine for terrestrial signals but its not recommended for higher frequencies like satellite.
That said I've seen it used in a few houses on satellite runs up to 20m and there have been no issues.

RG59 is not at all suitable for satellite or terrestrial tv use.
As well as being too thin and having huge attenuation properties, it has no form of shielding at all. This makes it very susectable to RFI ( interference) . The same lack of shielding means that satellite IF can also leak out.
Do not use under any circumstances!
I have often come across new house prewired throughout in the stuff. Horrific!
It is usually used for carrying baseband video in CCTV installations. So electricians often have some left over. To a lot of these guys co-ax is co-ax...........

RG 59 is as far as I know for CCTV installations.

crap for sat installs, does not cover freq, and not double screened, and standard F connectors do not fit correctly.
