    Hi,

I have been away the past two months and just back now trying to sort an NCT for my old car, so I can avail of the scrapage ending on Thursday. I know I should have done this ages ago but just kept putting it off.

I am going to ring the NCT in the morning at 8am to try and arrange a test before Friday. I presume they are chocablock, any tips on getting ahead of the queue?

I don’t think bribery is an option after that program on prime time aired!!!

Im an idiot I know :(

Call them and see if they have any cancellations first thing tomorrow morning

The going rate for bribery used to be E50 in the ashtray, might be more now!;)

Go in first thing and ask if they can get it down at some stage during the day. If you're willing to leave your car with them for the day they will be able to slot it in at some stage and you can pick it up at closing. I've done this twice.

Unless your a car dealer I'd say it will be slightly tricky getting somthing on such short notice.

As long as your current N.C.T. has expired no more than 90 days before the date of scrappage you don't need to get your car tested to avail of the scrappage deals on offer
