    Hi,

I've got a volvo 940 T diesel (1994), that needs new frost plugs. (had none on engine I got!)

I'm having difficulty sourcing them (only interweb so far).

How can I find out what diameter ones I should get, cos when I measured the they were 37mm which seems strange. I know they should be an interference fit.

    Any help would be appreciated.

p.s. Its 6 cyl, so I need six plugs.

I don't have a detailed knowledge of Volvo specifically I'm afraid, but sometimes they're also called freeze plugs, and a quick Google of this brings up a good bit of information.

Also, If it's the 2.4L 6 cylinder diesel you have, then I'm pretty sure that's a Volkswagen D24 engine.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

that's what it is but a little different in the volvos. It is a D24T, uses a turbo and in the later 940s it is intercooled and has more power. Nice choice of car by the way corglass and well done on deciding to get it going again.
I'm afraid i can't offer much help on the freeze plugs as i've never had to change or get any but i can offer links:

As was said its probably the vw diesel. The standard vw frost plug is 36.6mm same one is in the golf, passat, vento etc. part number is 059103113Probably a couple of euro at your local vw garage.

Where did you get your engine I'm looking for an auto box for one of those.
