Edision Mini Argus IP http upgrade

    Pulled out my Mini Argus IP to set up for my dad.

    Plugged it in and decided to let it install the upgrade that it said was available from the end of May.

    Now, it is just stuck with a flashing 'Boot' message on the LCD
    I am connecting to me TV with a Scart cable so I tried pressing the V-Format button but nothing happens. It just stays flashing 'Boot'

    I have a USB - RS232 cable and tried the recovery tool but I don't have a windows machine. I ran it under Wine but I don't thinks it could talk to the box.

    It did the 'Test serial post Status' thing for a while, then failed with 'Transfer Data failed'

    Is it bricked?

    I tried using a HDMI cable but it made no difference.

    It still just flashes 'BOOT' with no video signal being the message on the telly.
