Got the wife an iPhone 4 a few days ago. She's had an iPhone 3GS for the last year. Synced up the phone etc, but when she tries downloading free apps from the phone it won't let her. The message keeps coming up that app xxx will be available to download the next time you log into iTunes on your pc. Credit card details are fine. Any ideas as to what's going wrong

Try a hard reset on the phone. Hold down the home and power buttons until screen goes blank then let go when you see the apple logo. Test app store again

Try Changing the Safari 'Accept Cookies' setting to 'Always'
    Test again

what version of iOS are you using buzz?

Wait. Is the app over 20mbs and are you trying to download over 3G. Appstore on iPhone can only download apps smaller than 20mbs in size. I bet this is the problem ;) Doh totally forgot about this sorry. Whats the app?

Cookie, iOS 4.3.3, none of the apps are over the 20mb limit. Apps were freebie apps like the torch one etc. Tried to download donedeal, FB & twitter all with the same result. Yet when I go to iTunes on the computer & sync up the phone they install onto the phone. Have never had this problem with other iPhones just this particular phone
