    I thought this would be worth mentioning here, seeing as many request an Boards.ie iPhone App.

    Boards have launched a Touchscreen Friendly version of the site, at touch.boards.ie. The Mobile version of Boards is very difficult to use with an iPhone, or any Touchscreen device so is a very welcomed feature.

    I like this so far, is it possible to have the quick reply box like the mobile site? Looks great though

    Not sure if I do like it or not. Certainly easier to navigate with the bigger buttons. A couple of things I miss but might be there and I can't see it: Is it possible to click on a link and go to the first unread post in a thread? Is it possible to group the different sections like the standard site? At the moment, they are all listed separately: For example: Group all TECH Boards together.

    Overall I like it but the big ads stuck in the middle and end of the pages look terrible.

    How do ye find it on the ipad? I think it's awful, I haven't had a chance to use it on a phone yet.

    I never liked the Mobile version on a Touchscreen device. I thought everything was too small and hard to click on, and wasn't pleasing to the eyes. I find the Touch version way better, and easier to navigate.

    I like the new one much better, but I don't think the old one was "very difficult to use with an iPhone, or any Touchscreen device"

    The only thing I dislike about the m.boards from a mod point of view is that the delete thread button is positioned dangerously close to the view last page of the thread button. And they're not exactly big buttons either.

    i like the way the spoiler text works, couldn't read them on the mobile version. Nicely done. Other than the ads as mentioned, a very big improvement IMO.

    I think it's brilliant. I've been using it all weekend and it's a pleasure to use. And it's only new so I'm sure it'll get even better with time. It's a huge improvement over the old mobile site which didn't work too well on the iPhone.

    However, I don't think it's really suited to the iPad which handles the full site just fine (bar spoiler tags).

    It's easy to change on the iPad. There is a full version or something like that on the bottom on the page. It really works well on my android phone.

    The paddypower.ie really sucks on the iPad and you can't change that.

    I prefer the full version on the iPad to be honest. Only annoying thing is having to tap 3 times on the dynamic menu options to reach the link. Other than that it's grand !

    Here are the two feedback threads by the way:

    I like it on my iPhone. It's not quite there, but if the beta skin for boards.ie is anything to go by, hopefully it will be enhanced as they go. I don't bother using it on my iPad though, as it's just a waste of the large screen size.

    I don't like how the pinch & zoom is disabled though - a pain when there are embedded images that have been scaled down.

    I said this in one of the feedback threads: I don't like the idea of trying to have a webpage that's for both the iPhone (or similar) and a large tablet. The screen sizes are just too different for there not to be too much compromise somewhere along the way.
