My sisters broadband went out the other day, she has Imagine WiMax. The PC is connected by cat5 cable and youn can ping the hub but you cant connect to the internet. I temporarily enabled the wifi and could connect to the internet through that with my phone.

So its seems the wifi is working but for some reason you cant connect to the internet through the cable connection even though you can connect to the hub.

Has anyone got any ideas about this?

Hi there are 2 types of cat 5 cable that go from router to pc, cross over and straight through, also it could be your Lan card, make sure in your properties on the card that its set to obtain automatically
