programme ''banner''

when i watch a programme through the other channels list the ''banner'' that has the chnl name prog title etc stays on screen, if i press back up it disapears for a few seconds then returns, is there any ways of stopping this from appearing, if it makes any difference im using a hd box

try removing the channel from the list reboot box the add channel again.

This usually only happens when the channel has been saved during its "off-air" time.

It used to happen with BBC 3+4 if you saved them before 19:00

Had this problem on an older model SkyHD box.
As John suggested, just delete the existing one and tune in/add the channel again. :cool:

Cantona's Collars

This still happens on BBC3 and BBC4 even though they are on the epg.

It only happens when you have a banner displayed on screen then change to said channels,if it does happen simply change channel and back again.

its itv2 + 1 it happens on, ive not tried the delete re select option yet
