Diesel Mappping Question

Anyone had their car's diesel engine ECU 'remapped'?

I'm considering it for my opel astra (1.7DTI), and wonder about others' experiences. Are the economy claims true despite the extra oomph? And what's the going rate from a trusted firm?

Going rate - circa 300/400 euro

    Trusted firm ChippedIRE.com

Had a diesel and a petrol car remapped i didn't do either for economy, one was for more power and one was to get the best out of some engine modifications.

If you economy is your goal you could get an economy map which might reduce the power of your engine.
