Nissan Patrol rad repair

    Hello all,
Main dealer is looking for E600 to replace the rad on our 1999 Commercial Patrol GR. It’s not worth it and it may just be a small repair job. The top hose female connector part (plastic or some synthetic, not metal anyway) on the rad itself has broken off (on the right in first pic). Would anyone have a suggestions for a repair or how to extend this by a couple of cms? Pics attached, all suggestions appreciated, thanks in advance.

A radiator specialist should be able to put a top section on this radiator for you, failing that look for a scrapped one or price it spurious.

Price a Nissens rad (not Nissan) they are Danish and probably one of the better companies for aftermarket rads.
Ebay has a few listed for around 130, not bad and probably good to replace the rad about now anyway.

I'd find a smaller metal pipe that would slot into the broken pipe and fix it with this stuff:

The just clip the hose back on.
There's no reason in the world that shouldn't work.

there is a fella in kilcock, co. kildare who specialises in radiator repairs and recoring, I think he trades under kilcock radiators, he could repair it or supply a new one

Great help here, thanks! I fancy doing the repair job with that Metal epoxy, looks like something we could do ourselves & it has to be worth a try for €7.59. But failing that I'll try and find that guy in Kilcock while I wait for ebay alerts. Can't fail now!
