2002 seat leon bonnet wont open

    hi all,
    the O/H has a 2002 seat leon and basically the hood wont open. We pull the lever beneath the steering wheel and the proceed to lift the hood about an iunch, this is when a small black lever pops out from the grill and we pull that... the hood then opens about another inch and wont open any further? its like somekind of a latch is catching it. I was at it for about an hr on thursday before giving up.... any ideas?

    Theres usually a little catch in the middle of the car near the bonnet latch that you pull that releases the Bonnet
