I have been using it the last while and recently it has become a pain in the ass to use, I have been producing a few videos recently from my HD camcorder, .MTS files and basically all I am doing it stitching together the different video files, adding some fadeins between the videos, trimming out some unwanted crap and a title at the begining.

However when I go "Produce" the video it is producing a whole video worth of pixelated crap, my videos are 1080i and I select Mpeg4 as the output, the last video took four attempts at encoding the video before it turned out normal, it is a real pain and I need to know whats happening?

Can you give some detail of version and pc spec etc...
    Does seem unusual

Thanks for the reply Redman, I got it sorted afterwards and it happens sometimes when I'd produce straight Mpeg4, I instead would produce to H.264 AVC and then import that file back into Powerdirector and run it again this time to Mpeg4 and it would work fine, it really strips out alot of the size and on a 3.9GB .mts file I got it down to a 2.9gb mp4 this way. I was also using the "fast video rendering technology" option on it which seemed to upset it.

It still happens the odd time especially if you have done a few vids in a row, the solution, restart the pc and it works fine then!
