Not for me but my OH.

Missed out by a point this year

Doing Masters this year (SEP '11)

Can she count the masters in the 2011/2012 round of H.Dips or have to wait for the next year when its completed?

Any advice would be much appreciated, and thank you in advance!

Sorry to hear that. As for the Masters, in order to use the points from the Masters degree (6 points), you have to have been conferred with that degree before December in the year that you are applying for the H.Dip. So she will have to wait until December 2012 to apply, if she wants to use those points, as she won't have graduated from the Masters programme until Summer of 2012.

Keep in mind that Trinity College (full time), DCU(part time) and Hibernia (part time, new course) also run the H.Dip based on interview rather than points. Might be another route.

She can always re-apply next year and hope that the points come down by a point.

Can't say for certain. For 10/11 points for NUIM went up, for 11/12 all colleges' points stayed the same.
