Who Is best for 4 wheel alignment or tracking in Dublin or Nass as I am in City west

How can I check if the alignment is OK or not

A friend drove and said car is drifting to left

but then read some forums and people are saying car should drift to left due to road construction.

    Please help

First of all make sure your tyres are set to the correct pressure. Over/Under inflated tyres will make your car handle poorly.

On the majority of roads your car will drift off to the left due to the camber of the road. This will be a gradual drift.
If however your tracking is off, the car will pull to one side. It wil be almost instant.

If you drive along a normal road and take your hands off the wheel and the car whips you off to one side then you know your tracking is out. Or if you have to fight the steering wheel to keep the car straight. Or if your going in a straight line but the steering wheel is crooked, these can all be signs of poor alignment.
Also look out for excessive uneven wear on your tyres. If the tyres are bald on the inside only, or outside only, it will need to be looked at.

United Tyres in Donnybrook, the first of two tyre places on the left as you head towards city. Did the job for me two weeks ago, €60. Fast, efficient and pleasant service with a full computer printout of four wheel laser alignment. No problems with them at all. On the Northside many on here recommend Dave McCann in Blanchardstown.

Do report back on how you get on, I was recommended the tracking by a main dealer at annual service (their price €260). In the end I went to Donnybrook, was out by 0.00005 of a degree after all my worrying. From here I'd have missed the moon by a millimetre... Still peace of mind and all that..... Oh and the car is far better....

    Dave McCann, Blanchardstown. Job done.

    I'm "down the Country"

Will take a day out and travel with a car to get it done right.

I'm not saying he's the only one who can do it, just that I've always got it done right there.
