LC HL Maths What are the main course changes in the 2011/12 year ?

The course has been changed for the students sitting the 2012 leaving cert, So I dont know now if I should use revision books or not because Im not exactly sure what the changes are and dont want to learn the wrong part of the course (I missed a lot of class so I have to catch up on it in my own time) can anyone tell me whats same and whats different, so if I can use my revision books or not Please.

Easiest way for someone in your position to think about it is: paper 1 is entirely unchanged and paper 2 is entirely changed.

So, you won't go wrong for the time being by using any resources that are aimed at the existing paper 1.

What you need to catch up on obviously depends on which sections of the course your teacher covered while you were missing. Find this out, and take it from there. (A lot of teachers have been avoiding the new stuff during fifth year.)

Are vectors being completely taken off Paper 2?

Yes. At least, that's what the version of the syllabus for 2012 says.
