Online Golf Store - Fake or Authentic??

I've recently been shopping around for a new set of irons and came across a website called golfclubseurope.com which was offering my desired set for significantly less (25%) than any retailer in Ireland.

Has anyone used this site to puchase clubs or know anything about it? I've tried to do a bit of independent research myself but haven't found anything concrete one way or the other on them yet.

Can these guys be trusted not to be selling knock-offs?? Any help much appreciated.

What clubs are you looking for? That site sounds too good to be true and I'd say almost certainly fakes. There are plenty of reliable sites out there mostly based in Uk. Try comparegolfprices.co.uk and that should link you to the most reputable sites like onlinegolf and direct-golf. Golfstoreeurope.com is a name I'm familiar with and offer a great service and free delivery in Ireland when you spend €50 or more. Based in Belfast and I've used them 3-4 times trouble free

Thanks for that. I have my suspicions alright, it seems a little too good to be true. Looking to buy a set of Mizuno JPX 800 Pros. Would be interested to hear from anyone who knows of this website and/or have used it in the past.

Have used golfstoreeurope several times and they are first class. Usually deliver very quickly and is free to Ireland postage for orders over £50. Can recommend them highly. Sometimes the price they list for irons on the home page is not for 8 or 9 clubs, especially for the custom fit options and you have to choose your selection to see full price.

Sorry OP I misread the site name. Never heard of golfclubseurope. Run a mile I'd say! Probably trying to create confusion with golfstoreeurope with the similarity in the names.

site registered in Costa Rica, central America, phone number is from Belgium? see details below.

prices on other clubs seem normal, not too cheap across the board.

Even with all that domain info (which is suspicous findings!) there isn't any company registration info, vat details or even an office main number, as said already, run rabbit run. the other site mentioned i've heard a bunch of good things about.

i love online myself but sometimes ya gotta get the piece of mind and get em in your club shop or some other bricks & mortar, with the amount of fakes in clubs it will be worth the piece of mind versus saving (which of course turns out to be no saving anyway right!)

Thanks guys, all very helpful. What's confusing me slightly is the fact that the price of most of their other clubs on offer seem to be in line with other retailers I've looked at, but of course that doesn't give you much comfort that they're totally legit.

Think I'm going to steer clear on this one. Would be happy enough paying the extra few quid for the piece of mind that I'm buying the genuine article.

There is plenty of value out there. I buy all my stuff from the UK. Once you know what you want it's very easy to save 10-20% of the price here.

Have used all these with no problems, as well as the Irish sites.

    Thanks Dines,

All the sites you list are pretty much in line with each other price-wise. Just need to see which one will give me the best bargain now, as I'm intending to buy a couple of more items along with the irons at the same time, so the amount I'll be forking out should be enough to coax a decent discount from them I would have thought.

Btw, does anyone know whether it is possible to get clubs custom fit which are no longer in production? Specifically, I'm thinking about the Mizuno MX 300's as they are a close relation to the JPX 800 pro's (and by now much cheaper).

Just purchased my clubs with American Golf in Dundrum. Got a great deal from them and the guys there really know their stuff. I'd highly recommend them.

Has anybody any experience with Buyinggolfonline.com?. I'm looking to get a Taylor made burner superfast driver and it's working out at about 135 euro which is the best I have found so far.

Check out Halpennys website, they are selling them for 139 euro, that price will save you on postage and you can be sure its authentic.

That is far too cheap, I would avoid that site.

They only have the Senior Flex in stock on their website but definitely worth giving them a ring. Girlfriend got Irons and a Driver a few weeks later off them. Great service !
