Right guys, I'm a beginner to this! I want to start using sunbeds, I know all the jazz about it causing cancer but at this point I just want a natural tan, and I'm not going to be getting it in this irish weather :(
So what is the best type of sunbed to use? And how long should I use them for a first timer :P .. Should I do anything to prepare my skin, or is there a certain cream to use after I use the sunbed?? Thanks ;)

Barbie Pink if I were you I wouldn't go on the sunbeds. I'm super pale and have fair hair and everything so I would like a tan too but I'd much rather use fake tan, or spray tans or moisturising tan creams. I was in the travel agents today and there was this American lady in there and she was telling us (myself and the travel agent) that she's had two operations so far to remove melanoma's from her skin (near her nose). She said that the Doctor told her all it took was to be driving in the car with the window open and the sun shining in on your face on one side. My sisters friend uses sunbeds and she said that she's noticed her moles have changed since starting. If you have moles anyway for definite, I'd avoid it.

    I agree with mini,
i look like caspers anemic cousin im so pale, but i'd much rather that than leathery skin in years to come, and increased chances of skin cancer

If your using sunbed for the first time the best is to go on for 4 minutes. you should take a 48hr break and not use them more than 3 times a week. you should make sure your skin is completely clean and you sre not wearing perfume or other cosmetics as they may react with the uv rays. however they are dangerous if overused or not used properly. be careful and know what your doing:)
