People with that few sales, I'd run a mile. You really want a power seller, with thousands of sales.

They look good but his feedback rating is a little low for my tastes. Already has 2 negative reviews claiming that the goods were fakes, one of which was a battery grip. Chances are the people who gave him good feedback didn't realise they were getting duped.

I'd be very weary of buying 'genuine' goods in/ from China. Fake capital of the world

Start off with the basic question - does it sound too good to be true?

things like that are only a rip-off if you're expecting genuine canon. lots of peeps buy 3rd party grips and batteries that work just fine - and for a lot less than yer man there is charging.

    Grips are dodgy too:

FYI, look for an ebay shop called ukpartsdeal.

For £40 I got a "Battery Grip for Canon 450D 1000D 500D BG-E5 EOS and 4 Batteries" which looked like this. So far, I'm happy with it.

Shipping was £20, but I was buying a few other things, and I'm happy with what I got. When I looked at the time, battery grips in shops in Dublin were a lot dearer, but that may have since changed.

I wouldn't be put off if the price is right. I spent 35 quid on a copy of the MB-D11 for the D7000 and i have to say, the quality blew my mind. I was expecting it to be cheap and cheerful but infact its as good as the real thing. you cant even see or feel the difference from the camera when its mounted, the texture and everything is bang on.

In contrast, I paid top dollar for the genuine grip on my D80/D90 back in the day and it was nothing but trouble from day one. It always gave strange battery readings and would randomly shut the camera down, thinking the power was too low even though the batteries were fully charged. I swore id never spend that much on a grip again. :)
