Laptop Help 12-14inch!

Hey guys,

well I'm not the most technical guy, but I'm heading to college this summer, hopefully, and I'm considering getting a new laptop.

I' had a look in PC world but most of them look to big, does anyone know any good sites to buy a laptop, here or UK. between 12-14 inch.

If you could recommend a laptop it would be great. budget wise somewhere between 300-450

It seems to be the only good 14" near your budget, it's slightly over it and I don't know what shipping would go on top of that.

Smaller screen sizes and you go into the netbook domain, which might be what you are looking for, here is two decent laptops

These are just ideas to get you going, I don't look at laptop prices very often so I don't know where the cheapest and best can be found.

Thanks a million mate, I wouldn't have a clue where to start. Little bit pricy, those specs look really powerful for me, just simple college stuff. though that site looks great.

The processor on that seems a little weak, Intel® Pentium® Dual Core 1.3Ghz isn't a whole lot of power. The one thing I would look for is a decent CPU as it will basically determine how fast your laptop is. Plus the Pentium is quite old.

Unless you are doing anything intensive.. that processor is fine actually.

Honestly, with the exception of some atom's, todays dual core processors are fine for all "normal" use - internet, word, photos, music, films

Always read reviews online before buying though
