Fan raising emissions? **Please help NCT time nearly up**

    Hi All

The car is a Mistubishi FTO.

I recently failed the NCT on emissions. So far I have changed the coolant sensor , Lambda and cat.

Now my mechanic has come back and said the emissions are fine until the fan cuts in and they go haywire again.

The CO goes to between 0.80 and 0.90 when it should not be above 0.30

Has anyone ever come across this or advise what the heck I should do next?

I think the alternator may be dodgy (could this be connected)

    Thanks in advance

Sounds weird, Yet i have no advice, I doubt you needed to change anything, As you have and it didn't solve problem,
Should have just gave it a change of oil, new airfilter, and add some injector cleaner for a week, then add some stuff to lower emissions on day of test,
that's all i ever did to get emissions down from sky high to low,

Have you taken it for a "spirited" drive before the test?
