Three years ago Martin fell and was paralysed from the shoulders down and now needs assistance 24hrs a day. While learning to cope with his new situation Martin immersed himself in the science, business and politics of curing spinal cord injury and is now considered one of the worlds leading experts in this field. He sits on the board of directors of the Irish Stem Cell Foundation who help Irish people and legislators make informed choices in that arena. We are raising money to help Martin with his considerable ongoing medical and personal expenses and to help him continue on his quest to make spinal cord injury a thing of the past. Expenses include things like carers, specialist physiotherapy, power wheelchairs etc. Martin now lives in Greystones and before his accident was a keen cyclist and was a member of Bray Wheelers where he raced as a Junior.

Also the end of that 110km route is on the Motorway, that's not allowed you know!

Would love to do it - but would need more notice.

Best of luck to all supporting this great cause. And hi to the folks in the Martello.
