Canadian driveing licence and insurance in Ireland.

I have 2 friends from Canada, who came over to Ireland to work here for 4 months.

AFAIK they are not gaining residency status in Ireland, as they are not planning to spend here more than 6 months, and by that they are allowed to drive here on their Canadian licence.

They already bought a small car here, but the insurance seems to be the problem.
All insurance companies they tried so far, refused to insure them, as they are not resident in Ireland, and don't hold Irish licence.

Any thought what can they do?

    Ring an experienced broker.

If anyone would know about it, they would
