Firstly, I apologise if I've started this in the wrong forum but this was the closest one I could find.

Basically, I'm considering placing an order with the above website but I would like to hear some feedback from any people who might have had dealings with them before.

    All responses are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    lavine7

thanks for the reply. How exactly do I interpret that link you sent? what information is it giving and how does it help me identify if they are reputable?

    Thanks

    They seem genuine.

Up front about what they do. - Tickets for sold out and other shows with a service premium added.

Proper dublin address & proper phone number, payment by paypal.

Once you're happy with their higher ticket price, then there shouldn't be a problem.

    Thanks for your input.

The above is the reason I am concerned as they're selling tickets cheaper than face-value.
I first seen them advertise in donedeal selling oxegen tickets and they're selling them for 170 for 3 day camping which is very cheap for a merchant seller. They use PayPal alright but is that a safe method of making payments in terms of making a come-back should it turn out to be too good to be true?

They are not an authorised ticket sales agent, which means they are a tout. The important thing to read would be the T&Cs. It states quite clearly that refunds are not possible. If an event is cancelled, then they will only refund you the face value, and not what you paid (if you paid more).

I believe Paypal will view concerts as an intangible item, and no refund or dispute will be entertained. This is definitely true if they are e-tickets, but I'm not sure if it still applies to physical tickets that are posted out to you.

At the end of the day, just don't forget that you're buying from a tout. Be under no illusions about that.

They may not be scamming in the worst sense but they might not be fully genuine. They had these companies on the RTE consumer show a few weeks back.

How I believe one way they can operate is they sell you the ticket as though they have it in hand, but do not send it out, then they go and try and source the ticket at a cheap price and give it to you. So they can never lose out, if they do not get a cheap ticket they just tell you there was some problem and refund you the money -which could be hours before the event, leaving you high & dry. People were phoning again and again and the companies were saying to hold on and that people would meet them outside, they are probably trying to get them cheap off people outside and then ring you.

What is worse is many had a non-refundable handling fee, so you were not even getting a full refund of what you paid. Some act as third parties and wash their hands of all responsibility in the small print.

On the program one man had travelled to the UK with his sons to a football match, only to be turned down at the door as his tickets were already used. This is a scam easily done with credit cards, the scammer orders tickets via CC, gets them in the post, sells them on or to a tout, then claims he never got them and gets new ones sent out. The barcode scanner detects yours as stolen/lost even though they look genuine.

If you are really stuck I would say www.toutless.com is your best bet. If buying outside a venue if buying off a person get them to go up and have the ticket scanned and verified as genuine before paying. Also try asking the bouncers at the venue -they are often given free tickets by punters who do not wish to deal with touts.
