ixoy's going to be so disappointed about Smallville :pac:

only SGU won for my votes. must check out Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, though the hype so many put on them kinda puts me off watching them :/

Great to see Community pick up some well deserved awards.
I'll have to get back into Breaking Bad it seems. Watched season 1, but never got around to the rest. It seems that Southland and Justified are two others I should have a gander at...

Definitely have a look at Southland and Justified, 2 top shows!

In turn, I guess I'd better give Community another shot, I watched the first one and wasn't moved enough to continue. But given I usually give a programme a few episodes before deciding, now that I have more viewing time available, i'll give it another go, sounds as if it'd be worth it.

Fix much? I've reported the TV mods for blatantly disregarding popular sentiment on this.

As to the other ones - a lot of what I chose got picked. Great to see "Community" getting acknowledgement here as hardly anybody knows about it in Ireland. I'm about 1/3 of the way through S2 and it's still great.
"Breaking Bad" has always been popular, so it wasn't a surprise to see it. Pleasant to see "Game of Thrones" securing a few areas, especially for Arya.

What a refreshing set of awards from the usual dull results from the US!

Even though Nikita didn't win i think it's a testament to the quality and support it has at being nommed...and it's a CW show!!!

Wahey, another member of the cult that is Community...
The first few episodes suck in comparison to when it hits it stride about episode 6/7...
Enjoy - make sure to keep us updated as to how you're enjoying it...

I'm new to Community, saw it nominated and won so thought I'd check it out

    Good stuff!
I'm up to that Spanish episode, it's 3 or 4.

Delighted that Community won awards and, in doing so, has introduced new people to it! Also quite delighted that Super Hoodie won best story arch.

I gave up after the first few episodes.. but am so glad I went back to it.

As I've said before, it's the first show since 'Spaced' to really do pop-culture / movie / TV references really well.

Superb.. and Donald Glover is an absolute legend!

The whole cast is great - there isn't one bad character. I've watched the first 20 episodes, and its absolutely brilliant.

Edit: Now 21. Goodfellas Chicken Fingers = LOL. :)

Justified and Series 2 of Southland now added to my list.

I liked Southland and got pissed off when they cancelled it and haven't trusted TV enough to watch it since.

    POP-POP!

It kills me that I can't buy the show on Region 2 DVD.. none of my friends have heard of it! :(

it's like they want you to download it*! I'm still pissed off that no Irish or British channel has shown it properly.

Disclaimer: they probably don't actually want you to download it.

Halfway through Season 2 and loving it still. The Christmas episode is a great example of how the show is not afraid to try something different and produce great results.
So many great lines. From last night:
"You're ignoring me because I'm Korean!"
    "You're Chinese!"
    "Like there's a difference!"

and kids chanting "We want drugs!"

    So very brilliant.

This thread has somewhat turned into a "Community love-in".. I do think that "drugs" episode was probably the weakest of the season.

The most under-rated episode of the season is definitely the D&D episode with "Fat Neil" - so well made and hilarious to boot!

Never heard of the show somehow, got the first season and have watched the first 4 episodes. Its very good, very witty as well which you don't get with a lot of these comedies. Didn't think Chevey Chase would ever be in anything good again and the rest of the characters are excellent as well, especially Abed. I'll hopefully get through the first season soon enough.

I'm another Community convert. I usually avoid US comedy TV. Most of the time it very forced and unfunny but this is quality stuff.

I usually go for the darker humour of shows like Supernatural or breaking bad.

Was just rewatching a few episodes and forgot about this hilarious nod to a YouTube video..

You know those YouTube videos that have sly glances and insignificant moments between two characters / possibly love interests? This was made for Annie & Jeff by a YT user VeritasProductions back in November 2009.

And Community's response (or dedication) to it from April 2011.

    :D

I didn't want to watch it at first because of Joel McHale (I thought oh that annoying twat from The Soup) but after watching a few episodes I was very wrong and McHale is excellent as Jeff, Community plus Raising Hope are the two best comedies on tv imo

This year for most promising show, I don't think I'll even nominate a drama series...
Comedies are where its at nowadays...
And I reckon NBC, ABC and Fox will all be extending there comedy hours in September, anyway, so watch this space...

yeah but they are so hard to figure out i think, i always find them very hit and miss,

id say anything sci-fi-ey will be off the cards, it just seems an impossible area for anyone to cover these days,
