Anyone doing this race or done it before? Am thinking of doing the mini-monster as I think the full version might be a bit long for me but not sure what the road vs off road difference is on the cycle.

I like the look of that, map up on website, seems to be variey of trails, some on and off road and it says suitable for hybrid, cyclocross and mountain bike with slicks. Killaloe is a nice spot too and only a short spin now with the M7 all the way down.
