Sky+ Upgrade Cost

    The other half has in Sky for 8 years, and it's a normal sky box. Any ideas how much it would cost to get a Sky+ box in? They still have a subscription in the house.

    I know this is the umpteenth thread on this, but I can't find any from this decade, so any up-to-date information would be much appreciated.

    After being with them for 8 years,,you could just ask them to upgrade..

    If that don't work,tell them you want to leave,and cancel your sub....That's usually enough to prompt them into offering you the upgrade,free of charge. Or at the very least,,they will offer you a fab deal for it.

    if you currently only have one cable running to the sky box beaware you will need a second one run for sky+ so mention that to sky as well as you may need an engineer install and an upgraded lnb

    They don't do Sky+ boxes anymore. They are all Sky+ HD. It doesn't matter how long you are with them.

    Existing customers can upgrade to a HD box for free if you take out the HD pack (€15/month - free for 3 months). Install is included (LNB swap and extra cable run).

    Already a Sky TV customer? Get your first HD Pack free for the first 3 months (normally €15 a month) when you upgrade to Sky+HD by June 23. We'll also give you your first Sky+HD box free with free standard set-up. Call 0818 762 832 to upgrade now.

    If you don't have an HD ready TV, take our new, improved Sky+ box - €99 plus €60 standard set-up - and you'll be all set to upgrade to HD when you're ready.
    Very expensive though.
