Hi, someone was using my laptop and hit something to do with blog layout when creating a document. Now every time I open word, the layout automatically is a strange size, doesnt look like normal A4. Being driven crazy trying to fix it. Has anyone got any ideas?????:confused::confused::mad:

Not sure if this will work but open the Page Setup dialog (by double-clicking the vertical ruler on the left side of the window, or by clicking the tiny button in the bottom right corner of the Page Setup group on the Page Layout ribbon). On the Layout tab of the dialog, set the Vertical Alignment dropdown to "Top" and then click the Default button at the bottom of the dialog.

Hi yea, Just tried it but have a sneaking suspicion that that may be what went wrong in the first place. Now word is defaulted to be a blog setup. Ah I hate computers. Doesnt help that the operating system is Vista, which is pure evil. I know a good bit about computers but this has me stumped.

It sounds like the default Style was changed. Click the Styles button on the Home ribbon and change the Style Set to whatever you want (Black & White probably) then click Set as Default.

\tried that too. seems to only change font etc., not what the paper size looks like. Its saying its A4 but it certainly doesnt look it.

Screen shot of it might help :)

There is icons along the bottom right that change the style, the default one is "Print layout" see if it's still on that, if not switch it to it.

I am not sure what the issue is, never seen or heard of this happening but it should be a simple switch somewhere.
